Hyakusho Kizoku -the farmer’s days in 2nd Season-
Before her manga career, Hiromu Arakawa spent seven years working on her family’s dairy and crop farm in Hokkaido. Year-round labor, raising cows, growing vegetables, wary of bears, and outwitted by Ezo chipmunks. This series captures the tough reality of Japanese dairy and agriculture, while celebrating the funny, powerful, and surprisingly cool way of life of the adults (and sometimes kids) who work the land.

Gunma-chan
Welcome to a whimsical world called “Gunma,” where haniwa clay figures, daruma dolls, strawberries, ninjas, and all sorts of characters live happily together. Gunma-chan plays with friends, studies, goes on adventures, worries, laughs, and even uses a little “Gunma power.” Take a peek into Gunma-chan’s slightly mysterious and fun everyday life.

Sushi Sumo
What if sushi wrestled sumo? Born from that offbeat idea, Sushi Sumo comes from picture-book author An Masako, and its humorous sushi wrestlers are always a hit with kids at read-aloud time. Otoroyama, Salmon Zakura, Kurumaebizou, Ikuramaru, and more: each colorful sushi wrestler uses its topping to pull off a range of moves. Who will win today’s bout? Hakkeyoi, nokotta!
