Koi no City is my first ever event that I’ve curated with my music friends at Hello Stranger, a venue in the heart of Little Tokyo. I usually get booked for events but I wanted to try something different and actually host my very own event. I’m Stephanie Yanez, a J-Pop music artist that has been working in the Japanese and Anime entertainment industry for years now. Working with many Japanese and Anime companies on various projects throughout my music career.
Hello Stranger is a female owned venue celebrating L.A.’s Black, Mexican and Japanese cultures. Hello Stranger is a gift from the past re-imagined through the lens of today. I feel Hello Stranger is a perfect venue for me. I’m half Mexican and sing soulful retro J-Pop and City Pop music and Little Tokyo is my second home. I’m so excited to perform at the venue!
I would love for you to come travel to Koi no City and experience the Retro Anime vibes with a plethora of artists performing City Pop, J-Pop, Dream Pop, Future Funk, Lo-Fi, Techno Pop, and Soul! POLARTROPICA is the unconventionally alluring music endeavor of Los Angeles-based galactic dream pop artist, Ihui Cherise Wu.
Shinkawasaki is Japanese-native bi-lingual, cultural singer, and producer that interprets culture through music and video.
Tune in Tokyo is a Promoter & DJ Team specializing in City Pop, J-Pop, K-Pop, & more in Los Angeles, around the world, and online!
Ken Harada is a Japanese DJ, composer and producer working with many platinum artists in Japan/Asia.
Hiko (also known as Rehabeatation) is a SoCal Japanese producer/beat maker who has won first place in Beat Cinema’s Beat Battle Vol.3.
Also I’m super excited to announce that VJ Sam and Japanese Radio TJS will be at Koi no City as well!
