Maid Cafe in Little Tokyo?!?! Yes, Dreamland Maid Cafe!

I was invited on behalf of Dreamland Maid Cafe to check out what everyone has been talking about since its arrival in June. Dreamland Maid Cafe is a special pop up maid cafe that will be going on until July 24th in Little Tokyo, LA. Yes, it’s the last week to check out Dreamland before it’s gone. Good news is they will be touring to many anime conventions after the end of the pop up. So follow them on all social media to find out where to find them.

A dreamy experience awaits you and brings you to this cafe that usually you can only witness in Japan. I have thought for years now that LT should have it’s own maid or cosplay cafe. The amount of anime fans have grown in Little Tokyo over the decade and many come out to search for goods. Dreamland Maid Cafe is located right next to one of the best anime shops in LA Anime Jungle. Thus, the location is perfect which I could tell with the amount of reservations they had the day I visited the cafe.

I have been to a couple of maid cafes in Japan and to be honest food is never their strong point but at Dreamland I was really impressed with the selection of food, dessert, and drink choices with vegan options as well! They even had the classic melon soda and could decorate your plate of dessert like the Tiramisu I chose to really give that authentic maid experience that you can usually only experience in Japan.

Our maid Marina made sure my guest and I were well taken care of during the entire time. I loved that she chose to draw a cat!

Already being impressed with the food I was really waiting to see the show that is performed by their maids. As you walk into the cafe you notice right away the beautiful stage set up. As you sit at your table you are handed a glow stick to cheer on the maids during their performance. The show and performance of the maids is definitely the highlight of the cafe. You can tell all the maids really love working at the cafe and performing for the customers. The maids danced to super cute Jpop/Anime songs. Once the show began it really made the cafe come alive. In addition to the super fun show, they also offer an opportunity to take polaroids with the maids and exclusive merch you can only get at the cafe.
