JFOODO Hosts “Love Snacks, Love Japan” Event
Distributing Japanese Snacks
at “Dodgers Fan Fest 2025” to a Crowd of 27,000
Los Angeles – On February 1, JFOODO (The Japan Food Product Overseas Promotion Center) made its debut at “Dodgers Fan Fest 2025” held at Dodger Stadium, distributing Japanese snacks to enthusiastic attendees. With perfect weather and the anticipation of a new season, the event attracted approximately 27,000 visitors. The Los Angeles Dodgers, home to Japanese stars Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, have garnered significant attention from Japan, and the “Love Snacks, Love Japan” booth saw long lines forming nearly 30 minutes before the event started, with the excitement continuing throughout the day.
At the event, JFOODO distributed 12 varieties of Japanese snacks for free, appealing to a wide audience including families. Visitors could select one snack of their choice, and with some items given away as full packages, many were thrilled. Miki Omagari, Director of JFOODO, commented, “People enjoy the fun of selecting from a diverse lineup. Receiving an entire package also makes it easier for them to find and purchase the product later if they like it.” Approximately 2,000 snacks were distributed during the event.

Omagari further explained, “Snacks are a staple of American sports culture. Baseball, in particular, has a strong connection with snacks, as seen with Cracker Jacks. Japanese rice-based snacks pair perfectly with beer, and we want people to explore the variety of flavors available. The U.S. is known for its love of gummies, but not many are aware of Japan’s extensive selection. Through events like this, we hope to spark interest in Japan’s diverse snack offerings. With the success of Japanese players, there were many Japan-loving fans at the event, and we want them to experience more of Japan’s culture beyond baseball.”
“According to a survey, Snacks are one of the most popular souvenirs for international visitors to Japan and have high satisfaction rates,” said Omagari. “We hope this event sparks interest in Japanese snacks and encourages more people to experience Japan’s culture firsthand.”
