Very tasty crunchy yet delicious deep fried potatoes with Miso sauce.
Originated in Chichibu city of Saitama prefecture in Japan. It is a very popular school lunch menu in Japan. Perfect for snack time!

Number of servings: 4 servings
Ingredients
500g (1.1lb) potatoes
80g (2.8oz.) flour
100ml water
deep frying oil
Miso Sauce
* 3 tbsp. Miso
* 2 tbsp. sugar
* 1 tbsp. Mirin (sweet Sake)
* 1 tbsp. Sake
Directions:
- Mix Miso, sugar, Mirin, and Sake in a bowl. Cover and microwave on medium for a minute.
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into bite-size pieces. Place them on a microwavable dish and microwave on medium for 5 minutes.
- Mix flour and water in a bowl. Quickly add it into the potatoes and coat them. *Please deep fry immediately. Do not leave long or they stick together.
- Deep fry in oil for 2~3 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle with the Miso sauce to finish.
