Five Japanese Snacks | DAISO Japan

,j

Hello and welcome readers, I will be talking about Daiso Japan.

Daiso Japan is a store that sells home goods, kitchen wares, stationery, makeup, snack foods, decorations, and much more. The locations I have visited are at Monterey Park, Temple City, and Little Tokyo. I like going to Daiso Japan because of their inexpensive prices, it is convenient, and the products come from Japan. I will be mentioning the five snacks that I picked up from my recent visit to Daiso Japan in Monterey Park.

.

I like eating pocky.

.

It is a sweet snack. At Daiso Japan, I can see that they sell various flavors like chocolate, cookies and cream, strawberry, almond crush, and chocolate banana. The one flavor that is my go-to favorite is chocolate. Other times, I like to choose the cookies and cream pocky. This snack is something that I can share with my friends.

.

This snack by Calpico is new for me.

.

I took a quick glance at it, saw that it had chocolate, and I added it to my basket. The illustration on the packaging shows the chocolate is double layered and shaped in the form of a star. When you open the package, the smell of chocolate comes first. I am amazed by the way the chocolate snack is presented. The little stars are inside a blue plastic container with a cover. This makes it look like star ice cubes. The taste is good, and the chocolate is creamy and light. You get twelve pieces of chocolate in one package. Although this snack may be small in size, the taste is incredible! I recommend this Calpico no Atama Milk snack.

Apple flavored candy

This candy is something I haven’t seen before at Daiso Japan. Since this candy has three flavors, I can enjoy three kinds of delicious apples like the caption says on the bag. I couldn’t read the lettering on the package but there are three apple varieties. The brand is Pine, and it is a hard candy. The colors of the candies are light pink, yellow, and a darker pink. The flavor is sweet and subtle. I’m going to share this candy with my friends. I hope they will enjoy them like I do.

.

I have seen this snack, the Tohato Caramel Corn in store before.

.

There are many flavors, however, I chose the caramel and roasted peanut one. The aroma from opening the bag was great and I could smell the caramel flavor right away. The snack is crunchy, sweet, and airy. I found myself going for more as I was eating it. This snack is really tasty. I hope to try other flavors from Tohato Caramel Corn sometime this year.

.

The small round biscuits with soy milk from Osaka Maeda brand were crunchy and had a plain taste.

.

At first glance, the appearance looked similar to Nilla wafers. Although it isn’t as sweet as I imagined, the smell of the biscuits caught me off guard. This is my first time having a snack with soy milk. I am going to share some with my family and see what they think.

.

Besides snacks, there is much more to explore in Daiso Japan. Recently, I have noticed that they sell Rilakkuma face masks for kids and adults. They sell Tokidoki and Rilakkuma stickers, stationary, washi tape, and pencil bags. Near the front of the store, they have plush blind boxes. I bought a panda neck pillow from the store. I’ve bought stickers and small stationery.
