Japanese Egg Omelette Sando. How to make it using a microwave.
You can make nice and yellow Tamagoyaki without burning it.

Difficulty: Easy
Time: 30min
Number of servings: 2 servings
Ingredients
- 4 Eggs
- 1 tbsp. Soy Sauce
- 1/2 tsp. Dashi Powder
- 2 tbsp. Water
- 2 Slices of Bread
- 1 tbsp. Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. Karashi Mustard, if you like
Directions:
- Put eggs, soy sauce, Dashi powder, and water in a bowl and mix well. Strain to make it smooth and look beautiful.
- Place the egg mixture in a square microwavable container. Lightly cover with plastic wrap and microwave on medium (500w) for 2 min. Mix, cover again with plastic wrap, and microwave on medium (500w) for another 2 min.
- When it is warm enough to handle, remove from the container and wrap with plastic wrap to shape it nice and square, then cool completely.
- Remove the crusts. Apply some mayonnaise (and mustard if you like). Place Tamagoyaki between 2 slices of bread. Cut to serve.
If you use regular soy sauce, it can turn out brownish. Please use lighter colored soy sauce, transparent soy sauce or white Dashi soup base.
